چکیده

able for the more unusual geometries of some biological particles. Nevertheless, good approximations can often be made as demonstrated by the excellent results of Latimer and co-workers ~ in their scattering calculations for some highly complex turbid suspensions (yeast cells, chloroplasts, bacteria, etc.). The meaningful extension of circular diehroism and optical rotatory dispersion methods to a host of interesting biological structures now looks pronlising.

Analysis of Bioactive Olygosaccharide-Metal Complexes by Modern FTIR Spectroscopy: Copper Complexes

Spectroscopy of biomolecules has been founded at the end of last century by the researchers working in the field of optical spectroscopy applied to biosystems. Since this time, the interest of the activity has considerably grown up. Researchers have typically used traditional spectroscopic techniques, such as Raman scattering, IR absorption, UV/Vis absorption, circular dichroism, fluorescence, ...

Differential light-scattering of granal and agranal chloroplasts and their fragments.

Intact (class-A) granal and agranal maize chloroplasts and chloroplast fragments were examined for differential scattering of circularly polarized light (measured at 90 degrees) and c.d. (circular dichroism) (measured at 0 degrees) by using a modified spectropolarimeter with a large acceptance angle. Useful c.d. information was obtained by making corrections for scattered light. Chloroplast fra...

In vitro study of drug-protein interaction using electronic absorption, fluorescence, and circular dichroism spectroscopy

In the near future, design of a new generation of drugs targeting proteins will be required. Considering the complex bond between the drug and protein, the structure and stability of the target protein should be considered. So far, a series of in vitro investigations have been conducted with the aim of predicting drug-biological medium interactions. In these studies, use of spectroscopic method...
